I need help deciding on the size of a trolling motor for my boat. I posted an earlier thread asking questions about adding a trolling motor to my run-about. Thanks to Mikie, Rockin'SV and Kevin for your inputs. I am looking for a few opinoins on the size I should buy since I am finding different info and recommendations on the web.

I have a 19'2" runabout, that is pretty heavy. I don't have any specs on the boat so I am unsure of the weight. I have an inboard mercruiser 140. The distance from the waterline to the level where I will be installing the motor is 30 inches. I am considering a Minn Kota 74lbs (24V) Powerdrive with a 60" shaft. Would the 74lbs be strong enough, or will the 60" be overkill (should I consider a 54" shaft)? I appreciate any suggestions offered.
