I have the Garmin Etrex and love it. It is just the basic in gps units, but it very user friendly and when used in conjunction with a regular ol' map can get you to and from anywhere you want to go. First year I had it was also my first year going up to LOTW. I had no worries. The units with the ability to load in and display maps are really cool, but I have a hard time reading the grayscale ones, theLegend, at a glance (going 40mph, trying to hold a map, your hat, a beer..I mean a coffee, light a smoke and read a gps so you can avoid that rock bar you know is around) If I were to get anything other than the Etrex I would go all out and get a large screen color unit. just my 2 cents.
