I don't troll but I can definitely tell you that I for one prefer a console boat when running big water. I like the operator's position in the boat, I like having a windshield and I like having one hand on the wheel and the other on the throttle/trim switch.

If you are doing a lot of precision trolling, a tiller is where it's at, but I'd still rather have the console.
