Location: Kildeer, IL		Mreiter, As far as I know, that is not true in Illinois. My Tuffy doesn't have an enclosed battery space. They just sit on the floor under a shelf (half of the battery sticks out). My batteries are strapped down, and only have the terminals covered. When I got checked, the officers didn't have any problem with my batteries.
