With the weight of the lower unit, you may want to have an extra set of hands. Not sure if that year had a shift linkage or an electric shift. If you have a shift linkage, you will have to remove a bolt and nut to get the lower unit to drop off.

Either way, it should not be too hard.

Bout the only other thing I would do is maybe put a table spoon's worth of oil in each cylinder to re-coat things...Might be a little easier for start-up.

Then...fresh gas and fire away..
