| Eeeaaasy… sorry I’m late, yes I have an awesome top with side curtains on my rig. When questioned on why I would put a top on a fishing boat, I blame my wife and say she wouldn’t let me get a boat without one. But secretly, I have been caught on the water alone with the top and side curtains up. Ya my rain gear works, but why bother putting it on. The top lays nice and out of the way in the back of the boat and I can have it up and snapped to the wraparound windshield in a couple of minutes. The top by itself is great for shade on those hot sunny days. The side curtains help keep everyone dry in the cockpit on those rainy days. Even with the top and sides up there is still plenty of room to fish out of the back of the boat. Spongy can testify to that, he has a picture of my wife and son posing with a big pike in the back of the boat. Keeping the family comfortable allows me to stay on the water longer. I’d recommend a bimini top to anyone. Mine was custom made by my boat dealer. Make sure you think every thing out before buying one. Some of the taller stand up tops do not like to go fast. You need enough headroom to get around, but sleek enough so you can cruise without it blowing off.
Nothing sweeter on a warm sunny day than to put the top up, snuggle my son up for a nap under the counsel, open an Ice cold hiney with the wife, set a barely on plane cruise, listen to the 4 stroke purr, head from Chief Lake to the East fork the long way around Eagles nest, and watch the world go by… [:sun:]
