| I have run Amsoil in a few different engines without any issue. The only thing you need to make sure of is that with any oil it is TCW-3 compliant. Amsoil goes beyond this with the additives, and with the mixture, you get less smoke, nice idle, and no bogging down. I have been using it for break in of a new motor.
Your owners manual will probably state that you use their oil since it is specificially designed for that particular motor, but in my opinion, that is a ploy to get you to buy their products. If it is TCW-3 compliant, you are fine.
Now that fleet farm has it in gallon jugs, I will continue to get it.
