Some of those old motors need a lot of rehab work, too - rings, seals, maybe a shaft. Sit too long and things dry out. Best to take it to a qualified mechanic and have it serviced and inspected, compression test, too. There are a couple websites for pricing and selling older motors, I doubt a '65 has much collectors value. I had my dad's '52 Johnson 10 for quite a while, and sold it for a couple hundred. It wasn't in collectable condition and it needed to be in the water fishin not sitting in the garage. good luck with this, m
