Rodney said his 15 kicker pushes his ranger 2.8 to 3 m.p.h. I put a 6 on my 18 ft, Sea Ark and had to get it moving with the trolling motor before I put the 6 in gear or it would die. Granted, the 6 had been sitting for a long time and the carb was not right, but I only got 4m.p.h. out of it.
