We are talking about a boat with a 250 H.P. rating. I don't know the weight on this boat, but it is heavy. I wouldn't want a 9.9 for a kicker, I would have a 15 on that boat. One way to tell is put it in the water and see what it does. I would have over 100 H.P. on that boat. If the cost of a big engine is a factor you might consider selling that rig and getting less boat and more engine. There are times it is good to be able to go fast, like when a storm comes in,or the wind gets bad, or your fishing buddy has a heart attack when he gets a 60 incher. It's your money, spend it how you want. Later
