for both, but in my truck box
-Tire plug repair kit (get at walmart, fleet farm)
-Speed wrench (4 way)...much better than the breaker bar the truck comes with.
-Extra quart of oil
-extra antifreeze and water
-small socket set
-jumper cables
-manual or 12v air pump

For boat trailer
-Extra bearing set for trailer hubs
-extra dust cap for hub
-small container of grease (if need to repack hub)
-cotter pins (for retaining nut for hub)
-extra seal and seal puller for hub
-Hammer, and block of wood (to install new seal)
-needle nose pliers and screwdriver (to pull old cotter pin)
-RAGS for cleaning hub and regrease...plus hands
-trailer wiring harness connections and splice connectors
-plastic bar ties and electrical tape

Oh...and the kitchen sink too
