Location: Holly, MI		I just bought a RayMarine vhf. Don't cheat yourself with a small or cheap antenna, especially if you want some range for bigger lakes. Mount it with the fold down (ratcheting) mount and lay it flat while casting if you need to. I have mine mounted to my center console and don't find it to be in the way from the front or back of the boat.
