I know there are a couple mechanics on board here. Maybe some input from you guys or someone who's tried it?
I have been hearing about using this stuff "miracle cleaner" called Seafoam for cleaning of gas lines/carb system/fuel injections systems in vehicles. So far I've heard only good things about it. I'm still a touch leery about using it though as I'm no mechanic. It's supposed to remove varnish/dirt etc from gas lines, gunk/buildup and varnish from oil systems and carbon deposits from cylinders and valves etc. Supposed to restore power/economy to experienced (older) motors too. I've got a 1998 Dodge Ram Quad Cab with 5.7L and about 89K on it.
Only bad thing I've heard about it was that someone dumped it in the fuel tank and it apparently works so good that he got himself stuck a couple times from plugged fuel filters from all the crap that it removed.
Right now only looking for suggestions, I haven't made up my mind on whether to use it or not.
