Force is the old Chrysler line, built in Hartford, WI. Merc bought US Motors in the 90's sometime. All motors were carburated. They didn't make any changes, or update to EFI or DFI. Pretty reliable motors. Being carburated, they will go through the fuel and oil. You will see lots of Bayliners with them on the back.
