This is relatively a simple job. I change and repack them 1-2x per year. I am awaiting my liqua lube bearing kit to install. If you want some good advice on changing your bearings here is a good article.

If you are changing out your races you can use your old races to get the new ones in. Use a grinding wheel on the old races and grind down the outsides of them to use to tap the new ones in. Just make sure you grind enough of the old races down so they slide easily in and out of the hub.
