| Have heard about nothing but problems with the optimax motors. Most complaints have come from guys in kentucky who put more hours on their boats in a year than us wisconsinites could in five. If you plan on trolling bring a new set of plugs, as you will ruin the ones you have. Also a new brain box (I don't know the technical term) will cost you a nice chunk of change. I am a big fan of mercs, and in fact between my dad and myself have four of them, but I think the optimax technology was forced out the door without proper testing, and mercury's reputation is paying the price. | |
