I got a 2 stroke 40 hp evinrude and run both a 11 3/4 X17 prop and a 12 1/4 X 15 prop. Both get on plain pretty quick with two guys in the boat though the 15 is quicker to plane. I just had both props Cupped at Airmarine in Chicago, will find out if it helped or hindered this weekend. I am thinking in my case the 17 being cupped may not have been the best idea but for the price I just had to try, they actually told me they didn't reccomend it on the 17 so they only cupped it slightly.. On the 15 they said I should see improvement. If you go with just the standard cupping with these guys its around $20-25, however they do have some other thing they can do plus repaint it when they are done. I think that one costs around $55-60. Airmarine is on 56th and central right behind Midway airport. I do not have the PH# handy..
