Okay ... rigging my new boat and I was curious if someone could help point me in the direction of the best rod holders out there.

I'm looking for something that would be rail mounted. I don't troll for 'skis often but when I do, I want something strong enough to take a massive strike. These would also be used to hold an occassional sucker rod and maybe trout or salmon fishing on Lake Superior.

I've heard good things about the down east holders. Anyone have any input?
