Location: Western U.P.		Do you need one... no. Does it make fishing for long periods of time a little more comfortable, in my opinion, yes. Is it more stable in windy conditions... definitely yes. A tripod is more stable than a bipod. Try one. If you like it. Keep it. If you don't. Sell it.
