It has been a while, but to keep my livewell dry for storage I believe I did three things. Large rubber plug from hardware store on the outside of the boat sealed with 3m 4200. Small plastic plug in the bottom inside of the livewell sealed with 3m 4200. Twisted shut the livewell inlet inside near the top of the livewell. Always dry unless I take water over the bow and a little will get in from under the lid.
