Thankfully, the stainless T-hamdle 1" plug didn't jump threads before it would seal tight. It's a significant amount of turning to make tight. I've tried a brass one in the past and would not tighten before jumping the threads. The 1.25" plug would not fit and the flange plug would not go into the 1" hole as advertised and would require taking a grinder to the transom. Thankfully the easiest option worked. I will order several of them for spares.
