I always thought that the mod-V aluminum bass boats got a bad rap amongst "serious fishermen". In reality, I think these boats make an excellent fishing platform for not only the bass and musky guys, but for multi species anglers, particularly those that do not fish "big water" or troll.

The deck sizes are far larger in comparison to a similar sized glass rig. Although storage is not always equal to a similar sized glass rig, it is more than adequate. In addition, they are able to get into very skinny water. And pricing is less than a comparable sized and equipped glass rig.

The recent rigs from the last few years from Ranger, Lund and others are not the Trackers from the 80's and 90's that so many think of when thinking of a mod-V bass boat.
