so im new to trolling. Boat is a 96 stratos 219f (very similar to a ranger 690vs, its just a little bit longer and wider 19'3 and 92beam) i just bought a 2021 9,9 merc. manual start, manual lift, and 25" leg. Ive got a tie bar set up to put on it coming today, my question is. Should i just put a Troll master pro 3 (wireless) throttle control on it, and lock it in the straight position (this motor has that capability built in, and steer with my terrova from the front ? it seems like this would be more maneuverable and less complicated due to not having a linkage from the main motor to deal with.
