Great motor, but don't expect a lot out of those features on windy days... It seems like the unit has to think a bit before adjusting direction and/or power setting, and usually winds up overcorrecting.


Cruise control can be a pain when it is gusty out.

But the author of this statement should try "legacy" autopilot as it will let you slip drift with ease. Legacy only points the motor in one magnetic direction and doesn't matter where your going.

If using advanced autopilot and not enough power to stay on the line, the motor will steer straight to the closest point on the line and try to get back on track. With more power it won't blow off the line. But this line is only in advanced autopilot. Imagine a map, pressing advanced autopilot drops a line, that line is where it wants to be.
