Love my 1997 Crestliner 1750 with the lil 90hp two-stroke Johnson outboard. Mine is a dual console model however, not a tiller. So many Pros to my 1750 Crestliner:
- the 90hp two-stroke Johnson outboard still runs great. It's a two-stroke...the thing will probably run forever...
- The boat is still in great shape. I'm second owner. First owner was a bit rough with it however. I've never truly understood how someone could really beat the crap out of a boat's cosmetics, but..hey...it is what it is. And it works just fine for me. Since I've owned it, it's been stored indoors when the boat's not out on the water.
- it fits in my garage
- it's paid for

With where I'm at in life, in this phase and stage of life, with two kids soon to be graduating high school and going off to college, I don't see myself upgrading to a newer, new-to-me (used) boat any time soon. So...for the past 15 years this boat has served me, my family and my friends well. I foresee many more great years to come utilizing this boat. For the size of the waters that I fish...it's all that I need. It may look dated...it may have a dated engine, it may have dated electronics on-board...but...guess what: the boat floats, the engine runs and the electronics work.

One nice thing about having a boat that is not that great looking (mine is a bit "used" as well), is that you don't have to spend 30 minutes when you get off the water going over with rags and sprays...
