Although I know very little about warrior boats, I have certainly salivated over the new Ranger FS 622. I agree with your assessment that the first generation 622 might not be the one to own, but thought I'd mention that an FS 621 is still a big water beast… and certainly worth considering with the 350 HP.

Although the fit and finish isn't what it used to be at Ranger IMHO, the hull and fish ability of that boat is still top shelf, as well as more mainstream/time-tested. Although resale is not a consideration, service might be and there's a heck of a lot more Ranger/Mercury dealers than Warrior/Suzuki.

Regarding the 12" touch screen Garmins being extremely difficult to deal with while under way. One trick I've learned is simply switching your non-map screen unit to a zoomed out map. Looking at zoomed in and zoomed out 12" map screens simultaneously is the bomb in rough water at night.
