I noticed some excessive play in my stock 115 optimax prop. I carry a spare prop and hub assy in the boat. I have a II as a spare when I swapped them out the engine had a III installed. It fits fine and it is nice and tight with the II in there. Is there a reason or a preference for one over the other? The II is certainly not as strong as the III. The II says it works for engines up to 300hp but the spline insert is half the length of the III and not the same material.
