Subject: Rails on ESOX Mag

Has anyone installed some short stainless steel railings on their ESOC Mag? Like Tuffy does on the "G" series of boats? There is a 21" space on the port side between the lids and 32" on the starboard side between the lids. West Marine has some 18" single stud mount rails that would be about perfect.

Two purposes, the first is the side of the Mag is a lot of boat to have next to a dock without a bumper in the middle of the boat. No place to tie the bumper. Second would be to attach some rail mount rod holders for light duty use, ie holding the walleye rods when we go from spot to spot with a full boat.

If you have a G series with rails, are they installed up on the thicker part through both the rub rail and the glass, or below the rub rail just through the glass (which I am thinking requires more backing).

Thanks for the help!
