Ive got a 2012 1650 Pro Tiller. Mine is equipped with a 60hp Merc 4 stroke. (Wish I had gone the max 75) Mine too has the big tiller handle, a must if you ask me, as all controls are right at your fingertips. I love the boat for fishibilty and room. Being only a 17' boat I wanted max layout and feel tillers offer that. The seat bases in the "cockpit" could have been spaced better. Any coats or other stuff hanging on the seat of the passenger side will inevitably lead to turning off the main power switch on control Panel. Unless they changed the layout of the panel since(and they very well could have)
Other than that, the boat has been real solid and a good boat to me. I even added a seat base on back bench between livewell and battery storage for a pedestal base for aid for my fishing partner.
