Subject: Ranger Key Pad Flashing Light

Hi Guys,

I've googled my issue with no consistent answers found online, so I figured I would reach out here as this forum usually provides a solid answer.

Here's the issue:

Once in a while the light on the stop button on my 620 key pad flashes. And no matter what I do, I cannot get the key pad to turn off. 1234 off should shut it down, it doesn't and continues to flash. In the past I've always equated it to low batter and when I plug the battery in the problem is solved.

This weekend I was on the Chip and Sunday morning was raining like an SOB. I went out and turned my bilge on. No issues. I went back about an hour later and my key pad light by the stop button was flashing. No matter what I did, it wouldn't turn off. AND it wouldn't let me start the motor either (even though I knew I had plenty of battery power).

Anyways, I did plug it in and charge for about 2 hours and then the problem was solved.

But the frustrating thing is what if I didn't have the ability to plug in? I know my battery was fine. The fact that the key pad cannot even be turned on or off concerns me.

Anyone else have these issues and or know how to solve them?

Thanks - Midge
