Usually the sending unit gasket is the culprit. If not and it's fuel in one of the lines escaping, there's a hole or crack in that hose where it's leaking out which can be fixed with electrical tape for the week, wrap it well and tight and it should be OK if you don't fill to the top. Either the fill hose or vent hose, but you really should see that when you look the hoses over.

One other possibility is a loose hose clamp.
