I recently moved on from my 620 into a somewhat more family friendly rig but no where a fish and ski boat, the Skeeter WX series. I have an 09 WX2100 and had a WX1850 for a year prior that just wasn’t big enough. My 620 was amazing for the 8 years I owned it but with two kids it just didn’t quite fit the best anymore. The U shaped compartments in the back of my 620 took up so much space and when my little ones were in the back they were so close to the waters edge standing on the compartments. The Skeeter line has high sides in the back and two jump seats at the rear. Very convenient not having to have pedestal seats in the back. Yes you lose the rear storage but AJ was more than OK with the benefit of open design and jump seats. I looked quite extensively at the Ranger Reatas but there were a couple of things I couldn’t get over. Rod storage is absolutely horrible with even the 2050 having a 7’5” rod length limit. Also, on the year models I looked at the front casting deck was rather small for my liking. Skeeter makes a fish n ski but was too much ski for me.
