My preferred tow vehicle would be a tacoma with a small V8 and 4-wheel disc brakes, because it would go down any grouse/state forest trail and tow very well.

Unfortunately that truck doesn't exist so I settled with a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain. It tows well, is very quiet/comfortable, and is slightly smaller than the other full-size trucks out there. I currently tow a crestliner 1850 fishhawk. I intend to upgrade to an 07-10 619 next year.
