New motor break in, first two hours you will want it up to temp and cooled down to air temp 4-8 times, you never trim up, vary rpm not to exceed 4K for the first hour and 5k the second hour except random bursts of wide open for less than 20 seconds. It's something like that for mercury optimax. I would have no issues pulling a tube after the first 15 minutes of run time. The reason you don't trim up is to labor the motor to seat the rings, in aspect of 3000lbs of boat pulling a 200 lb tube with kids on it ain't anything.
