I bought my 681 new in 2001 with 135 optimax. It came from Ranger with a 23" Tempest plus. The prop has always worked well for me. With a light load it's a rocket but even loaded with two people and everything for a week on an island it still gets on plain pretty good.

Tried a 22" trophy one time, did not like it at all, the rpms went over 6000 and speed went down. If I had access to a 22" raker I would try it but wouldn't go down to 19".

The best thing you can do with props is try them somehow, find a marina that will loan you one or two. Pretty expensive to keep buying them until you find the right one.
