There's certainly some advantages, but there's also some disadvantages too... a few years back I watched as of the local guides must have gotten distracted or had a malfunction with his bow mount while trolling because his boat suddenly flipped around a couple times with about 9 lines out.

He spent the better part of an hour untangling what must have been a monumental mess of lures, inline boards, and fishing line wrapped around both motors. Wish I would have taken a pic...
