Might try and re seal the hole with silicone down in the base and see if that doesnt help and I would consider a small tarp over that area either under teh cover or on top of the cover in that are to give xtra protection....I would think silicone would do the trick sure seal is wore out due to use and leaks but new silicone seal and you might be very surprised
