For me and the style of fishing that I do on the lakes that I fish, no. For instance, on Leech Lake, where I do a lot of my fishing, the weed beds don't necessarily run with the depth lines. Many times they run perpendicular to the depth contours. Also, there can be a lot of water in between two depth contours. On Cass and Pike Bay the depth contours are so abrupt and even though the chip is close, it's not close enough. Just my experience with Link.
