Location: Chicago, Beverly | Is there a hp limit? If no HP limit you have lots of options. If you have a HP limit on those lakes maybe something along the lines of a Lund Rebel(or similar boat by other manufactures..crestliner, alumacraft,princecraft,moirrorcraft,etc..)..a 14' rebel might be slightly cramped but if memory is correct can be run with a max hp of 25. If it has a ten HP limit then I reccomend going with a used 9.9 Johnson/evinrude 2stroke with the carb upgrade. The upgrade jumps HP up to 15 but motor is still 9.9.. I forget what the newest 9.9 you can do that with is. With a 9.9(15 upgrade) the boat won't be a total slug. |
