I'm being told that the DI function is not even compatible with the minnkota trolling motor transducer. So it sounds like it doesn't even matter if i like it or not....


You can mount a DI transducer on the lower unit of your trolling motor--that will provide both DI and 2D sonar on a DI unit.

Also, if you get (2) G2N models and one is a MEGA SI/DI, you will be able to share MEGA Imaging view from the transom transducer over the network with the bow unit, regardless of what G2N model it is. Also a G2N model will come with Bluetooth capability and AutoChart Live with vegetation and bottom hardness mapping.



So would you consider the Autochart and bluetooth capabilities on the G2N models a significant advantage over the regular models? The more and more i gather it seems like the options can be limitless for these monitors...by the time i get all the facts on the current models they have two new ones out that are bigger and more features.

Great...now the cost just went back up with the G2N models...
