So a different forum has had people talking about smartcract and monitor, I didn't really spend any time when I boaught my 2015, I have analog tack, and that's about it on my optimax pro xs. In hind sight I'm glad I didn't spend for more monitor or smart craft, sure it would be sweet to see gallons per hour and temps but I know I monitor that stuff in my truck a lot, if I had it in the boat my "autocondriac" behaviors would distract me from fishing and enjoying the outdoors. Merc has "guardian mode" and other performance limiting settings built in and obviously the beeper. I'd save the money myself now that I have thought of it.
