what I don't understand is you can get a top of the line computer for well under what some of the new units are going for with more power, more memory, more technology but prices of these big screens keep going up and up and up...3500 for a unit?
most technology comes down in price....not for Humminbirds and Lowrance tho I guess :(


Could it have something to do with the fact that it is an outdoor/waterproof product? Only reason I say that is if you look at the cost of a TV vs. an "outdoor" TV made for sun/water they are much much more expensive.

Just a thought (albeit most likely an incorrect one). I definitely agree based on the cost of a laptop. Id be curious as the what the margins are on units such as this that clock in over $3,000.
