I put one on my X-190 this year and I like it but don't love it. The spot-lock is great as is the ability to adjust it with the remote. The pedal is easy to use and I have never really understood the mild criticism of it. While the motor is electric, it turns very fast. I have had some issues with the remote and using the direct course setting but it doesn't apply too often to my fishing so I haven't spent a lot of time using it. One big negative I have found is that when you turn spot-lock off, the motor shows it being on constant but it isn't. I always have to turn it off and then back on. Not a big deal but when it's windy and you're bouncing up and down and you don't know if the motor is on, it is an inconvenience. Also, the foot pedal buttons are very easy to turn on by accident. And when you hit the spot-lock button by accident it will instantly turn the boat to get in that position. I wonder if a double click for the spot lock button would be better than the single click.

Overall, I would give the motor a score of 7.5-8 out of 10. If I was buying now, I would closely look at the Ultrex.
