Further North is giving the reasons for the pasenger console and I agree with all of them. After fishing this summer with the X-190 I have decided to take out the pasenger console. Here's why: 1) I fish by myself about 80% of the time. 2) With the pasenger console out, I can store rods next to the pasenger seat so they won't be laying on the deck. Right now I don't put any rods there when I am fishing by myself. 3) I can put the net on the floor with the handle leaning towards the bow. Sure, I can put the handle between the console but I can't lay it out flat. And since I fish so much smallmouth with light line I net just about anything over 16" so it will be easier to grab while fighting a fish. 4) There is a lot floor space between the seats and the front of the deck. I am 6' and I have loads of foot room. I am going to build a compartment to put in front of the deck that will hold everything that was in my glovebox plus more. It will also act as a step for my small kids.

Overall, if you can't order the pasenger console after you get the boat then I would recommend getting the console when you buy the boat. There's definitely pros and cons with each. Good luck.
