I have a 2005 Crestliner CMV - virtually the same layout as the Pro-V Bas (minus a decade's worth of improvements).

My port-side console (like the Lund's) in removable...in fact the guy I bought it from had it off and stored in his garage. I put it back on for a couple reasons:

1) Pasenger comfort in crappy weather.
2) Increased storage (extra dashboard, space underneath with a little creative thinking).

I give up a hunk of deck space that's maybe 24" x 30" in a place on the boat I just don't use for anything else.

Were something to happen to my CMV, I'd buy a new Lund Pro-V Bas in a heartbeat, and it'd be a dual console.
