Very correct, it is a great problem to have. I am definitely gonna tape up my net and maybe add some insulation or something to the handle. Great idea.

Fishing solo is the main reason it happens. Need to support the net with the gunnels when using one hand.

Lucked out and got a 45" last night and she wasn't cooperative enough to swim into the net.
