Subject: Bad Alumacraft Magnum Stern Light

Location: Vilas County, WI		I have a 2005 Alumacraft Magnum 165CS with a bad stern light. It works intermittently which has lead me to believe there is a short somewhere or a bad connection. Replacing the stern light base and pole seem like the best solution; I've found parts on the internet and they're reasonably priced.

Before I do that is there anything else I should look at or consider?
