They are easy to make, though I would use cedar rather than treated, especially for aluminum. I've heard treated lumber can eat away or corrode aluminum. Not sure how serious an issue that is, but figured I would not take the chance when I made bunks for the 2 aluminum boats I made bunks for.

Not sure if it matters for fiberglass boats or not but cedar worked well for me in the past and is what I would stick with.
