Let's hope that's all it is.
Otherwise, Not a bad job except for the special tools needed for the seals and bearing carrier.
If you have water again pull lower unit, drain it and get a pressure tester.
Just a pump that screws into drain plug and has a pressure gauge on it.
This way you can tell where the leak is if pressure drops.
A good shop manual for your motor will help tremendously.
