Standard i-pilot is a stand-alone feature with the motor (including spot lock) and does not require being attached to a depth finder. However, i-pilot Link links directly to a Humminbird unit to provide some additional features like follow the contour, in addition to the standard i-pilot features.
Based on the video, it looks like there is an upgraded spot lock that will be coming with the new version of i-pilot and i-pilot link too.
Will features like follow the contour still work on the Ultrex - with older HB models like 998?? 998's are compatible with Terrova and Ulterra... just hoping Ultrex too.
